Ekaterina Kukhareva is a luxury knitwear fashion designer whose clothing lines are sold across Europe, USA and Middle East. The brand needed to relaunch their website in order to showcase the beautiful patterns prevalent in their design. Round shapes incorporate the latest collection’s patterned fabric and also represent ‘planets’ in Ekaterina’s world. Following a successful relaunch of the website, the client came back to create another website for a more ‘casual’ knitwear line. Included are also some examples of other work that was done for the client such as lookbooks, line sheets, cards, website banners, etc.

City of Melbourne
The aim of the project was to create a visually attractive and memorable, as well as easy to navigate newsletter about the City of Melbourne’s extensive network of parks and gardens.
After research I created hand-drawn illustrations of plants and animals that are resident in the parks. Bright colours and detailed work on text improve readability and hierarchy. They also accentuate versatility of the 170-hectare Royal Park with its unique landscape and wetlands habitat.
Following declining number of trees, City of Melbourne developed various incentives to manage climate change and protect urban forests. I have put together leaflets that have information about a particular plant and its importance as a part of biodiversity, and relevant seed packet. I have also created sustainable options of merchandise as tote bags, reusable coffee cups, reusable water bottles to promote cutting usage of plastic.
Tools used: ink, paper cut-outs, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop.
‘Smart Activities’ children activity book that I illustrated and designed for a self-publisher is aimed at helping children to learn and strengthen preschool skills. All illustrations were hand drawn with ink pens then coloured digitally and compiled in Adobe Suite applications.
Tools used: pen, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.
Discover Welsh Music is an online digital archive of the music of Wales. It currently focuses on few composers but will grow in quantity over time, therefore the client wanted a very clear and easy to navigate website. I set out to create the logo, which has a modern look to attract a diverse audience. Red colour reflects passion for music as well as connection to Wales. I introduced elements of line across the whole website to illustrate sheet music, sound waves and simplify updating of composers’ catalogue.
